We are an active research group in eucaryotic cell biology using a range of complementary approaches in order to understand how cells function in health and disease.
The Eucaryotic Cell Biology group carries out research in:
DNA Repair and Genomic Stability- with interests in DNA repair, genomic instability, mitochondrial diseases and cancer - led by Lene Juel Rasmussen
Nucleotide Metabolism - with interests in eucaryotic deoxynucleoside kinases, dNTP pool balance, and biotechnological applications - led by Birgitte Munch-Petersen
Cell Toxicity - with interests in the role of intracellular messengers in cell signaling and toxicity - led by Henning F. Bjerregaard
Molecular Mechanisms of Dietary Components - with interests in cell signaling pathways and functional foods - led by Ole Vang
Beta Cell Research - with interests in beta cell gene regulation and dysfunction in diabetes - led by Louise T. Dalgaard
Molecular Brain Research - with interests in the molecular mechanisms of brain development, cancer and Alzheimers Disease - led by Cathy Mitchelmore
Environmental Toxicity - with interests in the toxicology and biokinetics of essential and toxic metals - led by Ole Andersen
